How the manual system works
The control unit has all adjustment of pressure, consumption of CO2 and pellets, operating time etc. The safety operations are separate buttons. Including are the connections for the liquid CO2, compressed air and electric connection. The liquid CO2 supply of the manual CO2 snow blasting machines is mostly supplied using CO2 cylinders with a dip tube. The compressed air supply is provided either via the house network or an external compressor. Power supply is standard 100V, 110V and 230V. The compressed air supply hose is attached using a safety coupling on the control unit as well as on the supply connection. The length of the hose is variable as individual hoses can be connected to each other. The connected hoses can reach several hundred meters if needed. The liquid CO2 supply hose is equally flexible in length and can be extended as required either through fixed pipes or flexible hoses.
The blasting hose package connects the control unit with the blasting gun. It is comprised of a high-pressure CO2 pipe, a compressed air hose and electrical connection. The hose package can be completed in almost any length.
The blasting gun is the patented technology of PolarTech´s CO2 snow blasting process. This is where the production of CO2 snow particles takes place. The ergonomic gun design gives you a good grip for handling over long period of time. You can operate flow of liquid CO2, air only and air + CO2. Nozzles are available either round, flat, bended or customized. The fluidic flow of all nozzles is optimized for best performance. Wear and tear of nozzles does not occur.
Cleaning technology of the future
Cleaning with dry ice has been used for several years. More commonly used are dry ice in pellet form or blocks using a shaving technology. Both technologies are subject to high investment costs and high running costs. These factors have so far been the obstacles for establishing themselves as a general cleaning process in the industries.
PolarTech´s patented technology is the solution to the problems above.
